Educational Goals
Participants receive high-level education in ultrasound aimed at the evaluation of the fetal anatomy and to recognize fetal abnormalities during different gestational ages of pregnancy
Specific Goals of Diploma
• To make participants update and improve their knowledge and skills in ultrasound evaluation of the fetal anatomy and to recognize fetal abnormalities during different gestational ages of pregnancy
• To use 3D/4D technology for the evaluation of fetal anatomy/anomalies
• To create shared space for experience and knowledge
Admission Requirements
Candidates can be:
• Obstetricians and gynecologists
• Residency trainers in obstetrics and gynecology
• Medical doctors
• Nurse/midwives with an interest in ob/gyn ultrasound
Contents
The theoretical and practical parts are focused on the following topics:
• Brain abnormalities
• Face and neck abnormalities
• Heart abnormalities
• Lungs abnormalities
• Skeletal abnormalities
• Genital and Urinary abnormalities
• Gastrointestinal abnormalities
• Counseling of main fetal anomalies
Diploma
After attending the course and passing the final examination, the participants receive a diploma in “Fetal Anomaly Scan”
