Dear applicant/candidate,

thank you for your interest in the Permanent School of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (PSUOG). First of all, I hope that you, your family and your friends are fine in this pandemic period. As the overall situation related to the pandemic is improving due to the large use of vaccination, we are confident that the worst is behind us and that it will be possible to start the school activities early next year (2022). Due to the number of requests and the waiting list, we need to know if your traineeship is still planned to organize the activities and plan your session.

The courses are very informal and organized as one-to-one teaching, with one month of attendance and 4-5 ultrasound sessions per week (4-5 half days/week). In addition, you will attend some theoretical sessions on some ultrasound hot topics. During the weekend and free time, you can study or take the opportunity to have an immersion in the culture of the beautiful and historical places of the region.

The course is planned to be essentially as an observer and sometimes you may have a hands-on scan on real patients. To book your training period you must pay in advance the full fee for your Diploma. Please, consider that the due fee eventually paid is not refundable for any reason. Only in the case of documented “force majeure” the paid fee is maintained for your postponed training period, but this will be subjected to the priority of the school activities agenda and rescheduled according to the school availability. In the case the training period has to be canceled by you (due to the documented causes of “force majeure”), you should send an official mail with the request of a refund not later than 30 days before your planned start, otherwise, the payment will not be refunded and the school will keep the full amount you paid. If you like to come with a colleague, there will be a 20% discount for both (obviously, in this case, the traineeship will be one-to-two).

Planning the period of your traineeship, you are responsible for all the aspects related to your travel and to the pandemic traveling issues. That is the reason why I suggest you to consult the website of your country traveling rules and to consult the following website https://www.salute.gov.it/portale/nuovocoronavirus/dettaglioContenutiNuovoCoronavirus.jsp?lingua=english&id=5412&area=nuovoCoronavirus&menu=vuoto

It is very important that you subscribe to an insurance policy that covers the risks of accidents and the ones related to your professional activities as an observer doctor, valid abroad and particularly in Italy. The document related to the insurance policy must be sent before your planned traineeship with the receipt of the full payment of the Diploma of your choice.

For the details (due fee, aims, etc.) of the different Diplomas available, you can consult the website of the PSUOG (https://psuog.net/on-site-training-diplomas/).

We do not provide accommodation, but it is possible to find where to stay in private lodging or residences or in some cheap hotels close to the clinic (walking distance). Just for example, you can choose one of the following:

  1. Hotel Perugia, Via Eugubina, 42, 06122 Perugia PG. http://www.perusiahotel.it/tel. +390755725004
  2. Hotel Perugia Ilgo, Via Agostino di Duccio, 1, 06126 Perugia PG. http://www.hotelilgo.com/tel. +390755736641

The school will contact you as soon as possible to plan your stay.

To be in contact easily, I suggest also to communicate your personal phone number.

Sincerely,
